This is a demonstration kit for EEsof EDA tool interconnectivity.  The kit
is set up to be usable with Dynamic Link for ADS, IFF translation between 
Cadence dfII and ADS, and ADS Front End Flow.  The design rules and models used 
in this demonstration kit are not based on any Foundry process - all values are 
completely fake.  The ADS and Cadence kits are provided solely for educational 
purposes.  Do not create designs with these kits with the expectation of being 
able to manufacture those designs. 


The proper configuration files for running with ADS exist in the ads directory.  
Change to the ADS directory, and type the command hpads.  You should have the 
Design Kit add on for ADS 2001 installed.  Additionally, you must be using ADS 
version 2001 or newer.


The proper configuration files for running with Cadence dfII are in the cadence 
directory.  The Cadence kit has been tested against Cadence 4.4.6.


The mentor directory contains LVS and DRC rule files that can be used to verify 
layouts using calibre.


All of the source files used to create the Cadence and ADS kits have been provided 
in the directories.  Additionally, a FET VCO design has been provided to demonstrate 
Front End Flow capability.
